The Bio Filter units are the most popular style of biological filters, and can be located anywhere near the pond. All models have a spray bar, foam filter pads, Flocor media and hose connections. The lid is easily removed to allow periodic cleaning of the pads only. Being outside the pond, access and maintenance is quick and easy.
 An overflow/bypass allows water to flow to pond if filter pads are blocked, protecting the pump.
